Scope of Role
The People Business Partner (PBP) plays an important strategic role in supporting all people-related matters across the APAC region. Being a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll & Benefits, Internal Communications, and other regional People Team members to lead projects that align with global strategies and goals.
As a People Business Partner - APAC, you will:
People Operations:
- Build relationships with APAC department heads, providing strategic support.
- Develop and implement a people agenda that aligns with business goals.
- Advise on organizational development, change management, and department success.
- Resolve critical challenges, removing obstacles to goal achievement.
- Lead People Team projects across APAC.
- Oversee the APAC Office Manager to ensure smooth operations.
- Support employee engagement strategies, collaborating with the Global People Operations Head and Chief People Officer on projects like the Global Engagement Survey and Great Place to Work accreditation.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes in partnership with the APAC Office Manager.
- Support annual performance reviews and probationary evaluations to maintain consistency across the region.
- Oversee HRIS administration, ensuring accuracy from onboarding to offboarding.
- Develop and implement new policies to support business needs.
- Organize and administer learning and development programs.
- Prepare offer letters, regularization letters, and review employee contracts.
- Manage leave policies in collaboration with the Global People Team.
- Travel within APAC to support business operations.
Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
- Stay updated on legal changes and implement necessary updates to policies and contracts.
- Address legal risks in collaboration with internal and external advisors.
- Train managers on employment law and best practices.
- Provide practical legal advice on employee relations matters.
Talent Acquisition:
- Conduct interviews to assess candidates, as requested by the Global Talent Acquisition Head.
- Ensure feedback and collaboration with hiring managers.
- Contribute to workforce planning and talent retention efforts.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Manage benefit schemes with the Office Manager.
- Collaborate with the Global Payroll & Benefits Head on renewals and updates.
- 8+ years of experience in a People Team position within the APAC region
- Experience managing organizational change in remote or hybrid environments.
- Experience working with senior managers and providing strategic support on people-related matters
- Expertise in data analysis, project management, and communication, with the ability to build partnerships and work with teams across different departments.
- Demonstrated experience solving complex challenges with a structured and results-driven approach.
- Self-motivated problem-solver with a pragmatic approach to decision-making and an understanding of business operations.
- Experience developing people strategies that support business growth and operational efficiency.
