We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Senior Privacy Counsel specialized in global privacy, commercial, and product advising to further our mission of helping everyone experience the world through travel and dining.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in being a trusted advisor to our cross-functional teams and assisting them roll out innovative features and solutions at scale. You will collaborate cross-functionally across Commercial, Marketing, Engineering, and Product teams to successfully operationalize business initiatives with a legal and privacy impact and help define privacy strategy and roadmap.

This prole is required to work from our Concord, MA office at least 2 days per week.

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead and enforce a global privacy program, aligning with senior partners and global cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Commercial, Partnerships, Engineering, Product, and Security teams to provide guidance on privacy laws and global regulations (e.g., GDPR, CPRA, FTC).
  • Counsel on product, privacy, and regulatory matters, serving as an expert on global privacy, data, product design, and information security.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in product, regulatory, privacy, and AI spaces while building scalable innovation processes.
  • Draft and negotiate detailed privacy agreements, including those with AI components or integration partnerships.
  • Write public-facing product and privacy disclosures, disclaimers, and terms of use.
  • Maintain expertise in global privacy and consumer protection laws relevant to our brands

Please apply if you have: 

  • 5-8 years of proven experience with legal experience focused on
  •  global privacy laws and regulations, with particular emphasis on consumer and marketplace products counseling high-growth companies on privacy and product issues in a senior capacity
  • J.D. from a nationally or internationally-recognized law school and has been admitted to the bar, with a license to practice law in at least one US state
  • CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred
  • Prior experience working directly with partners throughout an organization and advising senior leaders on risk mitigation to ensure we take the optimal path
  • A humble demeanor and are an egoless teammate with a sense of levity and humor
  • Exceptional facility with spotting issues, assessing and communicating risks, making common-sense decisions in the face of ambiguity, and finding flexible/creative solutions to achieve business goals
  • Excellent judgment, high integrity, and strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a “can-do” attitude
  • Outstanding collaboration, partnership and influencing skills with the ability to work in a global environment across multiple locations and time zones
  • An affinity for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with global teams in multiple locations
