Title Program Manager

Description

The MCA Connect Program Manager is responsible for directing the implementation of one or more large-scale enterprise applications implementation programs.  Our programs typically consist of either multiple sites or multiple platforms – and often multiple subprojects – being implemented simultaneously. The typical program size and complexity is multiple years in duration involving up to 50 multi-disciplined implementation team members across multiple global client locations.   Our programs are major strategic investments for our clients and their successful execution requires a program manager that is driven, proactive, creative, and assertive.  The program manager must be able to successfully lead the client and MCA Connect teams to meet frequent milestones considering the financial implications, risk mitigation strategies and aggressive timelines.

MCA Connect Program Managers are not just “well-seasoned” project managers but must have an intrinsic strategic focus with the ability to confidently delegate the tactical project management tasks to our capable team members. Our program managers are positioned as trusted-advisors to C-Level client executives and must be able to confidently deliver appropriate messaging and counsel at the most senior levels.

While your primary function will be client facing, from time to time, we may also ask you to assist with other functions including sales and marketing, implementation-related tasks, and methodology and project management tools-related activities.  This is a full-time salaried position with significant bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities: Program Management (60%)
  • Manage high risk/high reward, high complexity programs
  • Provide leadership to all functional and business areas affected by the program at both the functional and executive levels.
  • Work closely with MCA Connect resource management team to ensure adequate staffing of resources considering the multi-dimensional long-term requirements of the program.
  • Develop, manage and defend detailed program (including consolidated subproject plans), timelines, cost estimates, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans and issue resolution plans
  • Drive program-level decisions and recommendations to client and MCA Connect management about schedules, prioritization, resource allocation and strategic objectives
  • Manage deliverables, scope, and expectations beyond day-to-day project scope/schedule/cost parameters by engaging and advising client leadership regarding objectives and priorities for the upcoming 3-12 months

Communication and Collaboration (25%):
  • Without requiring extensive involvement from MCA Connect management, Program Managers must be able to quickly assess the positions that client leadership is taking on the strategic/key issues of the program and communicate our plan to address in a manner that expedites consensus and firm action
  • Proactively communicate and report status to executives, MCA Connect management and all other stakeholders. This is done by leveraging tools such as status reports, executive briefings, and active day-to-day team communication
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with project managers/coordinators, functional and technical project team members to achieve program goals
  • Visibly employ project management leading practices as provided by PMI and MCA Connect delivery standards
  • Actively provide leadership to project team members with respect to project management processes and best practices
  • Continually establish and maintain strong advisory relationships with clients’ executive teams
  • Have the ability to motivate and encourage both client and MCA Connect resources during challenging periods of a program

Financial Responsibility (15%):
  • As the program P&L manager, manage elements that drive program P&L performance, including – but not limited to – revenue, team member resource allocation/utilization, gross margin, client and employee satisfaction
  • Manage the overall budget and profitability targets, providing the predictive financial analysis required to deliver accurate program status
  • Support the MCA Connect professional services management team by reviewing client invoices, monitoring accounts receivable and providing overall program-level input to our forecasting models
  • Cultivate and expand the client relationship, identifying new opportunities to improve clients’ business outcomes that result in new, closed/signed services opportunities for MCA Connect

Required Qualifications
  • More than 10 years of experience directly managing large-scale IT and/or enterprise applications deployments (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain (ERP) or Customer Engagement (CRM) a plus)
  • Experience with implementation methodologies across all phases of Diagnosis, Analysis, Design, Development, Deployment and Operation
  • Understanding of complete solution within the context of an integrated enterprise-wide business, IT, and application/data/security strategy
  • Well-developed planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Global implementation experience
  • Highly developed and demonstrated business acumen, including relationship among program progress, client satisfaction and business priorities, employee/team satisfaction and program financial contribution
  • Ability to work closely with key business stakeholders to communicate vision, progress, and anticipated/observed blockers with proposed resolutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Consensus driven management style that supports a vast set of stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, teambuilding, conflict management and motivational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Ability to travel up to 50%-80% of the time
