Director, HCP Marketing

The Company:
With deep expertise in chemistry, Nuvalent is working to create selective medicines designed with the goal to address the needs of patients with cancer.  Nuvalent is an exciting early-stage company, bringing together experienced scientists and industry veterans with a proven track record in drug discovery, oncology drug development, and company building. 

The Role:
Reporting to the Brand Lead, the Director of HCP Marketing – Zidesamtinib (ROS1) will contribute significantly to the success of the company’s first commercial launch by collaborating with others to gather HCP insights, and evaluate the ROS1+ NSCLC market, and drive the development of HCP engagement strategies, messaging, and personal promotion materials. This individual will be a critical member of the Marketing Team and work closely with other colleagues also focused on HCP Marketing to develop and execute coordinated strategies / messaging and a comprehensive, multi-channel HCP marketing tactical plan. This individual will also collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Medical Affairs, Legal / Compliance, Regulatory, IT, Commercial Operations, and Sales & Sales Training.

Responsibilities:

•    Partner with other functions (e.g., Market Research, Brand Strategy, HCP Marketing – Peer-to-peer, Thought Leader Liaisons, Medical Affairs) to identify / fill critical insight gaps, synthesize findings, and make insight-backed recommendations for HCP engagement strategies, messaging, and tactical plans / execution
•    Develop compelling HCP engagement strategies aligned to overall Brand Strategy 
•    Lead development of HCP personal promotion tactical plan aligned to key engagement strategies and overall Brand Strategy with clear budget allocation and KPIs
•    Collaborate with Digital Marketing and other HCP Marketers to develop a comprehensive, multi-channel HCP Marketing tactical plan, budget, and performance measurement plan
•    Collaborate as necessary with Patient- and Payer-directed Marketers to ensure a holistic positive customer experience 
•    Lead development of insight-driven HCP messaging 
•    Lead development of HCP campaign, consistent with aligned Positioning / Branding
•    Lead development of HCP personal promotion materials (e.g., Core Visual Aid), including management of agency partners and collaboration with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory for review / approval of materials 
•    Lead engagement with Sales Force and Sales Force Training to ensure consistent feedback, optimization of personal promotion materials, and flawless Field execution aligned to core Brand Messages and Brand Strategy
•    Longitudinally evaluate performance of tactics based on KPIs and adjust execution as necessary
•    Responsibly manage tactical budget over the course of the year, reallocating / optimizing as necessary and aligning on proposed changes with Brand Lead and Brand Strategy
•    Contribute to Leadership presentations (e.g., Launch Readiness Updates, Tactical Plans) as necessary

•    Strong scientific and clinical orientation, comfortable with data, and able to analyze / distill complex information into business implications / recommendations and credible narrative with internal and external stakeholders
•    Drives for strong performance and results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
•    Characteristics include being entrepreneurial, collaborative, and an energetic initiative-taker with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
•    Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams / Zoom; proficiency with Veeva PromoMats preferred

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    5+ years of biopharma Marketing experience, including oncology US product launch experience. NSCLC Marketing experience preferred
•    Highly experienced in personal promotion tactics, creative campaigns, market research (including testing of messages / promotional materials), message development, and tactical planning
•    Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and communicate across organization
•    Demonstrated experience in managing vendors, meeting dynamic timelines, and responsibly managing budgets
•    Successful track record of cross-functional collaboration 
•    Willingness to travel domestically up to 20%
