Virtual Assistant to Head of Finance – E-commerce Startup
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant (VA) to support the Chief Financial Officer
(CFO) of a fast-growing e-commerce startup. The ideal candidate will handle daily, weekly, and monthly
administrative and financial tasks while possessing a basic understanding of math and finance.
Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks:
Data entry and financial record-keeping
Organizing and maintaining spreadsheets
Responding to finance-related emails and inquiries
Reconciling transactions and updating expense reports
Weekly Tasks:
Assisting with accounts payable/receivable tracking
Generating basic financial summaries or reports
Coordinating with vendors and suppliers on invoicing/payment issues
Scheduling and preparing for finance-related meetings
Monthly Tasks:
Assisting in preparing monthly financial statements and reports
Reconciling accounts and verifying financial data
Assisting with budget tracking and expense analysis
Supporting tax preparation and compliance documentation
Prior experience in a Virtual Assistant, Finance Assistant, or Administrative role
Basic knowledge of financial concepts (e.g., revenue, expenses, profit & loss)
Strong proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
Needs to work aligned to CST or PST Business Hours.
