Do you want to turn dreams into reality, working with an award-winning sustainable team? Join Henning Larsen’s New York office for our 2025 Summer internship program! We’re seeking passionate, design-driven students pursuing degrees in architecture and urbanism. As a design intern in our New York City studio, you will actively contribute to our North American projects. Interns play a key role in conceptual design, competitions and early-phase development of exciting projects and research. You will collaborate closely with senior architects and lead designers, contributing ideas that shape our work.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Work with senior and intermediate team members to develop design.
• Demonstrate an inquisitive and creative approach to solving design problems, with the ability to translate them into professional documents
• Develop familiarity with consultant coordination
• Effectively self-manage time and workload to meet project and task deadlines
• Provide research assistance for topics such as site context or material and systems selection
• Preparing and building physical site and study models

What are we looking for?

As our new Design Intern, we believe your starting point will be:

• Current, continuing students in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s program for architecture or related field
• Students who are inquisitive and creative in design and technical solutions with the ability to translate them into professional documents
• Demonstrably strong iterative design approach
• Enthusiastic and collaborative when engaging with team members
• Agility and flexibility - must be a team player that can handle multiple tasks
• Have practical knowledge of Rhino, Adobe Suite, Revit, 2d sketching, 3d modeling and physical model making
• Knowledge of Enscape. V-Ray, Grasshopper, 3ds Max, Navisworks, Solibri, scripting and programming a plus
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Available to work in person in New York City
• Fluent in English

Salary Transparency Statement

At Henning Larsen, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an hourly rate between $22 to $28. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
