Donor Cultivation Assistant

The Mobilization Team is looking for a Donor Cultivation Assistant who will help a team of professionals who are committed to supporting our grassroots donors. They will be one of the first points of contact for supporters of the DNC. They will communicate with donors across multiple channels, help oversee maintenance of strong donor database hygiene, as well as assist in various aspects of the grassroots fundraising program at the DNC including providing support for the donor cultivation team. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful and thorough communicator who truly believes that building strong relationships with supporters is integral to the success of the Democratic Party. 

• Serve as a resource for donors by communicating with them on the phone, via email, and via text;
• Work with the Sustaining Donor Manager to grow our monthly donor program, with a focus on acquisition and retention;
• Assist with virtual donor events, briefings, and call time;
• Write scripts, templates, and other engagement-related protocols for donor outreach across channels;
• Lead internal letter writing, texting, and call thank you campaigns;
• Ensure that DNC donors have the best possible experience;
• Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

• Ideal candidate will be a team player, fast learner, and self-starter; you are willing to work hard to get the job done;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the desire to spend your day talking to our supporters;
• Experience working with donors, constituents, or customers;
• You should be organized, able to prioritize multiple projects moving at different paces in a deadline-driven environment;
• You are creative and love coming up with new ways to support our donors.

 The starting salary for the Donor Cultivation Assistant position is $52,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
