Our mission is to drive discoveries that lead to life-changing therapies, and our state-of-the-art NYSCF Repository plays a critical role in this effort by providing high-quality stem cell lines to researchers worldwide. The Repository is a vital resource for advancing scientific breakthroughs, ensuring accessibility to more predictive human cell models of disease, and fostering collaboration within the global research community.

NYSCF is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Associate to manage the volume of orders and distribution of stem cell lines from our Repository to researchers and institutions worldwide. Reporting to the AVP, Business Development, you will oversee strategic outreach to enhance the Repository’s impact and efficiency, communications, and administrative processes. You will have a strong background in life sciences marketing or business development and experience working with research communities. If you are passionate about life sciences and want to play a key role in advancing research through the NYSCF Repository, we encourage you to apply.

What you'll do:

  • Identify and cultivate new leads to expand sales and distribution of stem cell lines and additionally assist in lead generation for service contracts and collaborations, including stem cell line generation, gene editing, differentiation, and drug screening.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness and usage of the NYSCF Repository.
  • Handle all administrative tasks related to material transfers.
  • Facilitate the execution of Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs).
  • Prepare itemized quotes for material and shipping costs.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to register NYSCF as a supplier or vendor in buyers’ procurement systems, if applicable.
  • Work with finance to generate invoices and ensure timely submission to buyers.
  • Follow up with buyers on outstanding payments to ensure financial compliance.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure efficient fulfillment and shipment of orders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to modernize the Repository’s user interface and streamline order processes, including the creation of a searchable catalog and an online purchasing system.

What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, business development, sales, or a related role preferred. Life sciences experience is a plus.
  • Strong marketing skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with researchers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in financial and operational processes related to procurement, invoicing, and supplier registration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research-driven environment.
  • Experience working with research institutions and a basic understanding of material transfer agreements and their provisions is a plus.
