Japanese Localisation Specialist

Zazzle is looking for a Native Japanese Localisation Specialist to join our International team. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will work with colleagues worldwide and across the company, including SEO, SEM, Merchandising, Email, Customer Support, Legal, Compliance and other Localisation specialists. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days a week in the Cork office required.

As part of the Onsite Marketing team, you are responsible for the localisation, maintenance and growth of the Japanese domain. Responsibilities include the creation or translation of product descriptions, SEO copy, SEM campaigns, marketing emails, and other customer touch-points. 


Job Responsibilities:
  • Localise all copy, including product descriptions and new features with translations, measurements, cultural references etc, using a range of internal tools.
  • Partner with the Merchandising team to localise and optimise onsite landing pages and experiences. Track the impact of changes on conversion and bounce rates.
  • Work with the SEO team to optimise landing pages for organic traffic, including keyword and competitor research and the creation of SEO copy. Track the impact of changes on rankings, impressions & clicks.
  • Work with the SEM team to optimise Google Ads campaigns to capture available demand and traffic in the Japanese market, whilst maintaining efficiency and net contribution.
  • Schedule all discounts and promotions and monitor impact on conversion rates, bookings and gross contribution. Suggest alternative offers to suit the Japanese market when required.
  • Localise and QA all campaign and trigger emails with translations or new marketing copy, PID recommendations etc.
  • Conduct competitor research for campaign ideas and pricing analysis.
  • Closely monitor and analyse bookings, gross & net contribution, traffic, conversion rates etc.
  • Assist the Customer Care team with Japanese cases, address translations, help-centre articles, responses to third-party review sites and other tasks when required.
  • Regularly QA the Japanese site, report and follow up on any bugs or issues with relevant teams.
  • Assist with marketing tasks/projects on other International domains when required. 


About you:
  • Native Japanese speaker with excellent communication skills in English.
  • Translation and copywriting skills. Must be able to translate English to Japanese.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to learn and use lots of new tools.
  • Organised and with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail in both translation and all tasks.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to review data and recommend actions.
  • A creative eye for good design and trends.
  • Flexible team player who easily adapts to a changing environment and enjoys collaborating with teammates.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEM Rush and other marketing tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
