Associate Sales Engineer

The Associate Sales Engineer role is designed for individuals early in their professional career, with a strong foundation in cybersecurity, technology, or related disciplines, who aspire to grow into a customer-facing Sales Engineer. This role is integral to supporting Sales Engineers and Sales Executives in driving new business from prospective and existing customers. Through a structured program of enablement, mentoring, and development, the Associate Sales Engineer will gain the skills and experience required to articulate technical solutions, demonstrate product value, and support technical pre-sales engagements.

The Associate Sales Engineer will work closely with senior technical consultants to conduct research, validate solutions, and support the customer lifecycle, ultimately evolving into a highly capable, customer-facing Sales Engineer.

Responsibilities

Enablement and Development:

  • Engage in structured training programs to build expertise in technical sales and cybersecurity threat intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on proof-of-concept engagements, technical demonstrations, and solution validations.

Technical Support for Sales Engineering:

  • Assist in developing threat intelligence analyses based on customer requirements and OSINT findings.
  • Provide insights and support for customer engagements, drawing on analysis of intelligence and technical capabilities.
  • Configure and manage tools and platforms to enhance solution demonstrations and pre-sales support.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) research to identify customer threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging trends.
  • Analyze findings to produce actionable insights and assist in tailoring recommendations for customers.

Customer and Partner Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Business Partners to support the technical aspects of customer meetings and engagements.
  • Assist in creating and delivering presentations that effectively communicate technical solutions and their business impact.
  • BS/BA in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, technical sales, intelligence analysis, technical consulting, or related discipline. 
  • Familiarity with OSINT methodologies, cybersecurity platforms, and technical tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to craft clear and concise documentation and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peers, mentors, partners, customers.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Passion for technology and an eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Certifications in cybersecurity or OSINT are a plus.
  • Basic understanding of security domains such as malware and phishing techniques, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • Proficient in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for training and customer-facing engagements.
