Data Consultant (hybrid)

Location: This position will work in a hybrid model with both work from home (remote) days each Monday & Friday, as well as on-site days at the West Des Moines, IA office each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Zirous offers a flexible schedule so that you can work to meet clients needs and your personal needs. On-site days as described will be required for this role, local candidates within the Des Moines, IA metro will be given priority.

What you'd be doing:

Work on a variety of client projects as a full-time employee of Zirous - length of projects and types of client industries will vary.
Engineer and identify meaningful variables within datasets
Work with a project team to gather business and technical requirements
Utilize visualization tools to generate ensemble models and reporting
Produce client-specific reports detailing model performance
Visualization dashboard maintenance
Cross-department data consolidation
Data validation and troubleshooting
Quality assurance
Research and development of applications to support client projects.
Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Work closely with Project Managers & Technical Leads to ensure successful project implementation.
Provide expert and specialized hands-on technical support, consultation and coaching to clients.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Computer Interaction, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Sound fundamentals of data structures and understanding of object oriented programming.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. You can articulate complex technological concepts to fellow developers and translate for non-technical individuals. You are adept at navigating technical conversations with both team members and clients alike.
1 - 3 years of experience with any of the following technologies:
