Data Analyst - Corporate Functions

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will be the main point of contact for the business reporting needs for our Corporate and Executive functions. This role will involve prioritization and delivery of strategic reporting and analyses to support these critical functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and automate reports for solving the Business Intelligence (BI) and analytical needs of our full range of Corporate and Executive stakeholders. Collaborate with these stakeholders to establish the right metrics for monitoring the business.
• Gather functional requirements and work with product and engineering teams to deliver business metrics for our growing suite of products and services.
• Provide data-driven analysis to support key decision-making for the growth of our venture businesses.
• Facilitate delivery of critical reports related to corporate goals, earnings, and SOX audits.
• Support and supplement finance reporting pertaining to multiple areas of the business and for supply chain operations.
• Review data science models and convert them into reports for analysis and consumption.
• Communicate findings on a regular basis to all levels of business and management.
• Help train internal and external stakeholders in utilizing reporting tools and analyzing results.
• Set standards for data management and conceive projects needed to eliminate gaps between current state and future goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Data Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or relevant technical field. Advanced degrees preferred.
• 3 years of experience with using SQL for data analysis. Familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
• 2 years of experience developing MicroStrategy reports, dashboards/dossiers, and with the MicroStrategy architecture preferred. Experience with other Business Intelligence (BI) tools may be considered.
• Demonstrated success when working cross-functionally and can translate technical content to a general audience.
• Understanding of Data Management and the data lifecycle.
• Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and tools and flexibility to accept a wide range of responsibilities in our innovative and entrepreneurial environment.
• Highly motivated, self-starter that can operate under minimal supervision. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
