Job Description

Experian Marketing Service’s mission is to accelerate client success through enabling ecosystems, partnerships, and marketing technology solutions. We help brands put people at the heart of their business and have meaningful interactions with their customers.  

Experian is looking for a Data Management Analyst II to join the Data Management group at Experian Marketing Services – Targeting Data. You will manage data assets, ensure its receipt, perform data quality checks, performance per contract, adherence to Experian security and compliance and the compilation of Targeting’s ConsumerView Data repository. You will work with external clients that use our direct marketing fulfillment systems. You will be working alongside Targeting Data Acquisition, Service Delivery, Sales, Engineering, Analytics groups, along with internal clients and data source providers. 

What you’ll be doing 

The ideal candidate will be data savvy, understands the lifecycle of data from ingestion to fulfillment, process oriented, lifelong learner, and a team player, familiar with regulatory requirements, and has managed data in the marketing or FinTech industry. 

You will be responsible to manage the data purchased by Experian, ensuring its receipt, performance per contract, and adherence to Experian security and compliance policies.  Examine quality reports regarding the integration of acquired data into Experian’s ConsumerView compilation database, ensuring quality and quantitative measures are met, and researching when they are not.  Reports on the extracting of data from ConsumerView that is used to create various Experian products.  Ensures data is accurately loaded to the fulfillment systems and tracts its receipt by other Experian verticals.   

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Reviews and analyzes acquired data to ensure compliance to technical specifications, legal requirements and company standards as defined in the contract. 

  • Schedules and monitors automated data conversion and electronic data transmissions.  

  • Moves data among multiple platforms when needed for research. 

  • Validates quality of data loaded to various Targeting fulfillment systems. 

  • Ensures that source data is received according to contracted schedule, and reviews exceptions to automated quality control processed and data is loaded to ConsumerView. 

  • Provides support for the import and export of data files from supported platforms. Works with team to troubleshoots data problems and performs Data Quality checks.   

  • Works with data suppliers and internal business partners in a variety of functional areas to coordinate problem resolution for data errors. 

  • Utilizes Alteryx, Oracle and MS Access to prepare or analyze data. 

  • Analyzes data processing reports.  

  • Works with department staff to ensure proper data retention.  

  • Ensures proper documentation exists for sources and procedures they are responsible for.  

  • Assists in research of data problems and implementation of fix as well as ongoing prevention controls. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience with data management
  • Marketing Services industry experience preferred 
  • Experience working with online data assets preferred
  • Experience using JIRA, MS Access and Excel is required 
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL and ETL preferred
