Embedded Operations Specialist

Providing smart metering devices and services to over 50 energy retailers across ANZ, our reach is growing rapidly. But the true breadth of what we do goes beyond the meter, touching everything from solar to water, virtual power plants to electric vehicle charging.

The Embedded Operations Specialist works closely with the Head of Commercial and Embedded Operations in the Growth Markets team to ensure quality back-office support for Embedded Operators like Energy Trade. This includes handling metering requirements, creating and processing service orders, verifying order accuracy, and updating billing and customer records. This role is a 12 month maternity leave cover.

Key duties include:

• Process and check inbound orders for accuracy
• Create and manage internal service orders in the field delivery system
• Ensure order accuracy through a QA process
• Reconcile service orders with project orders
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve system/process issues
• Address customer inquiries and issues promptly
• Prepare electrical safety certificates (NSW, ACT, VIC)
• Coordinate return-to-site activities for meter commissioning
• Monitor data quality and manage inquiries
• Assist in month-end billing for accounts receivable
• Comply with safety, quality, and performance policies

• Tertiary qualifications in business, data analytics, or related field
• 2+ years of energy market experience is highly desirable
• Experience in data management, analysis, and customer query resolution
• Beginner to intermediate Excel skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Skilled in managing customer relationships and addressing concerns
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Numerate, with the ability to produce reports and statistics
• Self-confident with strong personal impact
