Business Operations Coordinator

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a business operations coordinator who is ready to work with a talented team to provide innovative solutions for tomorrow’s problems. 

This position requires the candidate to assist in process oversight, monitoring daily operations and ensuring adherence to established procedures and policies. 

  • Reviews operational metrics and identifies areas of improvement. 
  • Maintaining accurate records, project plans, and process documentation. 
  • Working with teams to ensure projects align with organizational goals. 
  • Assisting with the preparation and tracking of budgets for operations-related activities. 
  • Ensuring that operational expenditures align with allocated budgets. 
  • Managing contracts, invoices, and customer relationships. 
  • Compiling reports, tracking performance metrics, and maintaining operational databases. 
  • Coordinating orders for supplies or other necessary resources. 
  • Must have ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and may have contact with customers. 

This position requires up to 25% travel. 

Selected applicants may be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and must maintain eligibility for continued access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.

What We Need To See

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. 
  • Documenting financial transaction details and monitoring the transactions. 
  • Good Problem-solving and conflict management skills. 
  • Prepare financial reporting, accounting, billing and budgeting duties. 
  • Control Account management experience. 
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. 
  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable. 
  • Fact-checking accounting data. 
  • Track and manage financial data. 
  • Ability to professionally communicate project status and collaborate on technical solutions with customers and peers. 

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

  • Prior experience with DOD project management 
  • Ability to obtain and or maintain a Secret security clearance 
  • Analyze the financial details of past present and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas of potential improvement.
