Coordinator, Community Fundraising (Virtual Initiatives and Team Engagement)

We have a bold vision of a world free of multiple sclerosis (MS). For 75 years, we have been living our mission to connect and empower the MS community to create positive change and you can be part of that! Our team is looking for a Coordinator, Community Fundraising (Virtual Initiatives & Team Engagement) anywhere in Canada, on a full-time basis working 35 Hours per week. We support flexible work options, with some purposeful based in-person meetings, based on your location. Please apply by February 9th, 2025.

The impact you will have:

As the Coordinator, Community Fundraising (Virtual Initiatives and Team Engagement), you will be responsible for executing our virtual initiatives as well as building relationships and stewarding our virtual participants across the portfolio. You will also assist with corporate team recruitment and steward these to deepen community engagement and generate fundraising revenue for the organization’s overall mission. This role engages and partners with MS community members to consistently enhance the access to benefits for those individuals who are deeply affected by MS.

Key Areas of Impact:

  • Build and maintain community relationships, including participants, donors, local sponsors, volunteers, and community partners
  • Delivers exceptional stewardship and support to all constituents, including participants, sponsors, donors, and volunteers
  • Supports the planning, promotion, and execution of virtual fundraising initiatives in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan
  • Builds and maintains a portfolio of key community relationships to increase participation retention and revenue
  • Responsible for developing and updating participant and team fundraising assets such as; event day materials, guides, and impact reports

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Has experience in relationship management and a passion for working with fundraising participants, volunteers, and donors
  • Has experience or knowledge in event management, and/or peer-to-peer fundraising (considered an asset)
  • Has knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office suite and basic design tools
  • Thrives in working in a fast-paced professional environment with specific targets to achieve
  • Has a track record of strong customer service skills
  • Has a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Can occasionally work evenings and weekends, as well as attend in-person & virtual events in the region
  • Can meet occasional physical demands for special events, such as lifting up to 40 pounds (considered an asset)
