Field Agent - Networking & IT Installations

We are looking for a skilled Field Agent with a strong background in networking technologies and hands-on experience with IT equipment installations. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining various networking and IT systems at client sites. Your work will involve workstation setups, installing networking hardware, racking servers, configuring printers, and optimizing deployment processes for greater efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Workstation Installations: Set up, configure, and deploy workstations at client locations, ensuring all hardware is properly networked and functional for end users.
• Networking Equipment Installations: Install and configure network devices including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls. Perform cable runs and patching to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Server Installations: Rack, cable, document, and install servers in data centers or on-site environments, ensuring proper configuration and smooth network integration. Ability to lift and move heavy server equipment is required.
• Printer Installations: Set up and configure printers, ensuring they are properly connected to the network and accessible to the required users. Ability to lift and transport printers and other IT equipment is required.
• Equipment Testing & Troubleshooting: Test installed systems for functionality, resolve network connectivity issues, and troubleshoot workstation or server setup problems efficiently.
• Process Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all installation procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to ensure clarity and consistency in operations.
• Process Improvement: Provide feedback and contribute to process improvements for deployment efficiency. This may include developing standard operating procedures, improving workflows, or suggesting enhancements to deployment tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience with networking hardware installations (e.g., routers, switches, access points, firewalls).
• Hands-on experience with server racking, cabling, and documentation.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling, patching, and cable management best practices.
• Proficient in workstation setups, hardware configurations, and basic software installations.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve issues swiftly.
• Ability to lift and transport networking server equipment, computers, printers, and other IT hardware.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple installations simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar.
• Familiarity with IT management tools and systems for deployment and configuration.
