The Marketing Coordinator at True Environmental will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager, the marketing team, and technical staff to lead and support the pursuit lifecycle. This includes everything from lead generation and capture planning to proposal development and presentation coaching. The role requires strong leadership and proven experience in managing a marketing program for a multidisciplinary engineering organization. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing proposal efforts, which involves authoring proposals and integrating win strategies and themes into both the proposal and interview processes. This individual must demonstrate the ability to take charge of marketing initiatives for specific pursuits, including the creation of proposals, presentations, and qualifications. Additionally, they will coordinate marketing efforts with outside vendors and subconsultants, maintain marketing systems, develop capture strategies, and support business development initiatives. What you'll do
  • Lead complex proposals with general guidance, including scheduling and conducting project kick-off meetings and strategy sessions for a winning proposal.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to write original content and review/edit content for clarity, compliance, and key messages. Organize and coach technical staff in the presentation phase of a pursuit.
  • Research, gather, and edit proposal materials, including writing, verifying, and formatting proposal information. Ensures the various aspects of proposals and other marketing materials are compliant, accurate and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials, ensuring that all proposal materials effectively communicate the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit.
  • Works with individual pursuit teams to develop pursuit strategies, including providing business intelligence on clients, competitors and True Environmental.
  • Supports client engagement teams by preparing materials for internal and external meetings, as well as participating in client engagement team meetings. Supports annual strategic planning initiatives.
  • Analyze RFQ/Ps, Synopsis and evaluate submittal requirements for IDIQs, BPAs, C-contracts, task orders, call orders, SF330s, etc.
  • Support pre-positioning activities, including capture planning, strategy development, competitor analysis, teaming arrangements, and client mapping as a critical member of a team that includes technical staff, subconsultants, and, in some cases, senior management.
  • Participate in business development meetings, capturing meeting notes and action items.
  • Update the pipeline to reflect changes to pursuit status (e.g., solicitation dates or solicitation values).
  • Lead interview and presentation development for shortlist interviews.
  • Assist in proposal debrief sessions for winning and losing efforts.
  • Attend pre-proposal meetings, industry events, and board meetings.
  • May supervise work of other marketing coordinators and graphic designers indirectly.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in the architectural/engineering/construction (AEC) industry.
  • Experience in submitting successful proposals for a two or more of the following sectors: federal government, state or local government, and private clients.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills (both oral and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams towards a positive outcome
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in completing tasks
  • Proficient in common grammar, punctuation, proofing and business writing
  • Knowledge of AEC industry terms and definitions
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven competence in Adobe InDesign
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications
  • Client and partner relationships that bring value to major pursuits.
  • Experience with Federal/SF330 proposals.
  • Knowledge of client relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Bring energy and excitement around each assignment to motivate and move pursuit teams forward around one shared mission.
  • Find ways to build a team approach and always guide consensus/alignment through the process.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to produce high-quality materials under deadline pressure
