Summary/Objective:                             

The People Operations Specialist will function as the Master Database administrator for the HRIS (ADP WFN) and manage the administrative functions of the People (HR) department including but not limited to hiring, benefits, records, and ensuring full labor law legal compliance and upholding company policies and practices. The People Operations Specialist plays a critical role in protecting VICI's liability by ensuring compliance with employment laws and in supporting all People in their engagement and employment.



  • Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Legal COMPLIANCE & HR Acumen
  • Maintains and Ensures compliance with legal requirements, including federal, state, and local labor laws, including wage and hour and safety regulations 
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance for all mandatory and non-mandatory training, procedures, etc. This may include anti-harassment training (and delivery), personnel file required data, and all others
  • Maintains and manages all records (electronic and paper) in accordance with legal requirements
  • DATABASE Administration
  • Master HRIS database administrator, ensuring accuracy of data for employees, analytics, and legal compliance, which includes report writing and auditing
  • Supports the recruitment of, and facilitates the hiring of, qualified job applicants for open positions ensuring legal compliance and best practice to secure top Talent; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings & innovate methods of attraction and advertising as needed
  • Responsible for all recruiting processes from RequesItion to Hire, including advertising, ATS database administration, offers, onboarding & hiring process & documentation
  • Benefit Administration setup via ADP WFN accuracy; and support annual open enrollment administration to ensure a smooth, compliant and accurate process
  • Compensation Analysis - for new hire requisition approval, internal equity and annual comp exercise reporting and documentation
  • Leave management tools – partners with VP to run reports, follow up, audit to ensure all actions are taken
  • Worker’s compensation administration – maintain updated procedure and documentation
  • Maintain Manager’s resources folder and ADP portal with all current and relevant documents for the employee group served
  • EDD responses and action as requested
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development, under the direction of the VP
  • Reporting obligations for regulatory compliance (annual and ad hoc: EEO, etc.)  Support employees by supporting Managers ensuring all HR procedures are documented, streamlined and efficient to support their roles; building relationships to influence and develop
  • General office support such as supply ordering, etc.
  • Communication / Facilitation
  • Leverage HR knowledge and legal compliance knowledge to deliver clear, accurate, and professional communication with employees and business leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and applicable labor laws.
  • Manage employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring to complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Partners effectively with vendors and others, on VICI’s best interests and behalf
  • Employee Relations - knows how to communicate and respond to employees and trains management simultaneously as needed to take appropriate actions to protect VICI’s liability and to resolve issues and resolve problems
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Project Management ability: create, define, lead and action efficiently & accurately as needed
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations and resources
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software
  • Proficiency with ADP WFN or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems; managing the vendor of services for best service and optimal utilization of tools
  • Best practice standards and innovative implementation
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field ideal
  • At least 1 - 3 years of human resource experience preferred
  • SHRM or other certification a plus
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities


$70,000 - $80,000 a year
Expected Hours of Work: 
Regular, Full-time, hybrid
