Sales Development Representative

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to conduct outbound calls to prospective clients, qualify leads, and schedule appointments for the sales team. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can build rapport, identify customer needs, and effectively drive lead generation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective clients using provided leads or self-researched lists.
  • Qualify leads by identifying decision-makers, understanding their business needs, and assessing fit with our products/services.
  • Schedule meetings or appointments for the sales team with qualified prospects.
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns, referrals, and other channels.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all communications and interactions in the CRM system.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for calls, appointments, and conversions.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Stay updated on company offerings, industry trends, and competitor activities.

Qualifications & Technical Requirements:

  • Proven experience in telemarketing, outbound calling, or lead generation is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse personalities over the phone.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems and proficiency in using sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • High energy, self-motivated, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in [specific industry, e.g., HR, benefits, PEO] is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with outbound calling scripts and objection-handling techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
